A Zodiac 5.5 Open, a Quicksilver 705 Weekend, and two SeaRay SPX cruisers — the 210 and the 230. Different boats for different days, all moored at Bandry Bay, all maintained, cleaned and ready before you arrive.
The fast, agile RIB-style open boat — perfect for watersports days, towing wakeboarders and tubes, fishing the loch, and short bursts of speed. The boat members reach for when they want to feel the water, not glide over it.

The fleet is on a rolling replacement cycle. New boats added each season; tier and home-club access determine which boats are bookable.

Members tend to develop preferences within the first season. Here is the most common pattern of which boat gets booked when.
Wakeboard sessions, towing tubes, hot afternoons with kids who want to swim from the boat. The "let's just go fast" choice.
Lunch at Inversnaid, picnic at Inchmurrin, a sheltered helm in mixed weather. Cabin if it rains, deck if it doesn't.
Half-day to Luss for ice cream, the swim-platform morning at Inchcailloch, the boat that is easiest to dock for newer skippers.
Eight-up family Sunday, corporate hospitality runs, the larger sundeck stern for picnic-on-the-water afternoons.
Three of the four boats in the Lomond fleet share parentage with Freedom Boat Club itself. Brunswick Corporation acquired FBC in May 2019 — and Brunswick's portfolio includes Mercury Marine engines, plus boat brands Bayliner, Quicksilver, Boston Whaler and Sea Ray. The fleet alignment is not a coincidence: those boats are engineered to standards that fit the FBC operational model.
The Zodiac 5.5 Open is the outlier — Zodiac is independently French-owned, the world's most recognised RIB brand. We chose it for the watersports day and the tow-mode use case, which the Brunswick range doesn't quite cover at the smaller end.
Whichever boat you take, you are taking one that is on a commercial-grade service schedule, valeted between every booking and insured under the FBC group policy.
Most members book day boats most of the time — short, social, family-of-six trips with a swim and a picnic at one of the islands. So that is what most of the fleet is. The Quicksilver and the Zodiac give members the variety to do other things on other days.
Each boat goes through a commercial-standard service schedule. No "I'll fix it next weekend." No outstanding tasks waiting for you on day one of summer.
Every boat is cleaned between every booking. Your seats are dry, the floor is wiped, the windscreen is clear, and there is no one else's lunch in the cabin.
Insurance is arranged at commercial level and covers all named members on every boat in the fleet. You don't carry a separate policy or pay an excess.
The boat arrives full. Fuel is a separate, at-cost charge against your account. No card-machine queue at the marina.
Boats are replaced or rotated through the fleet on a rolling cycle so the average age of the fleet stays low.
If a boat is taken out of service for any reason, you get the next-equivalent boat on the day. No "we're sorry, we'll need to cancel."
Beyond the four-boat fleet, the Waterlodge Eden-6 is part of every membership tier. 12.0m × 5.0m purpose-built floating event venue with a glazed main deck, a 270° upper terrace and a cedar sauna on board. Capacity 30 standing or 60 with the private beach. Late licence to 23:00.
